My friend Gee who already migrated in Saudi came home last week and guess what she got for me? Japanese Cherry Blossom Lotion by Body Shop. Every time Sis Gee returns here in the Philippines she always have something for us. (we not be true sisters in blood but we know in our heart we are born to be one)

Ohh! Feeling very feminine with Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Lotion ❤

Here’s what I have to say about it.

Scent:  It smells like a fresh sweet flower which makes me want to fly to  Kyoto, Japan and walk under the cherry blossom trees. The scent also last long compared to other lotions I’ve tried.

Moisturizing effect: It does really gives moisture to my skin, non greasy feeling and leaves my skin supple to touch.

Packaging: Cute pink color with cherry blossom design, pump for easy used.

How cute is it?

A skin-softening body lotion infused with Japanese Cherry Blossom. This romantic, captivating blend of floral and hinoki wood accords was inspired by a spring day in Kyoto.

Did you know that?

Japanese Cherry Blossom by Body Shop is not just your ordinary Lotion. It has a heart inside 🙂 Some of its ingredients supports communities for sustainable livelihood.

BRAZIL NUT

Community Fair Trade Brazil nut oil comes the Candela co-op in Peru. The ‘castaneros’ or nut gatherers collect the broken nuts that can’t be sold for food use and hand-crack them to extract the oil. Trade has helped to protect 3,000 hectares of rainforest in the Madre de Dios region. Sustainable harvesting also helps to support the indigenous species that depend on the Brazil nut-tree, such as the orchid bee.  Cr: bodyshop.co.uk

SHEA BUTTER

  •  Community Fair Trade shea butter comes from Ghana. Local women hand-harvest shea nuts, dry them in the        sun and crack them to extract the kernels. These are roasted and ground into a paste to make the butter. Our trade with the Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association has helped to fund three medical centres and 10 nursery schools.  Cr: bodyshop.co.uk

Olive Oil FROM SOUTHERN ITALY

  • Our Community Fair Trade organic olive oil comes from southern Italy. The Nuovo Cilento Co-operative uses traditional production methods. The fruits are shaken from the trees and caught in nets to prevent bruising, then washed and cold-pressed. The co-op also runs courses on traditional cooking, as well as farming and nature-education programs.

Overall Experience: Two-thumbs up!
